individual therapy

Individual therapy offers a confidential space to pause, reflect, and understand yourself more deeply. People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some arrive in the middle of a crisis and need immediate support. Others may feel that life is outwardly functioning, but inwardly something does not feel settled or fulfilling.

As an integrative therapist, I work in a way that is shaped around you as an individual. No two people are the same, and I do not believe therapy should be formulaic. For some clients, the focus is on current difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship problems, loss, identity, or just a feeling of being feeling stuck. For others, the work involves looking more closely at past experiences and understanding how these may still be influencing emotions, behaviours, or patterns in the present.

Therapy can be both challenging and rewarding. It is not always comfortable, because meaningful change often asks us to face things we may have avoided, adapted around, or carried for a long time. But with commitment and the right therapeutic relationship, therapy can lead to greater self awareness and lasting change.

My belief is that we all hold the potential to live as our best selves: more content, more grounded, and more at peace. A central part of that process is coming to understand who we are, how we came to be this way, and what needs to shift in order for life to feel different.

I offer free, in person assessments for individuals. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions about therapy, talk a little about what has brought you here, and decide whether working together feels like the right fit.
